Hello Black Friday Subscribers,
I know everyone is anxious for the next Black Friday advertisement to
be released, and while we still have no new ads to report on, we still
have a lot of sales information to cover.
This Saturday and Sunday (Nov 6-7), Walmart is having their Amazing
Electronics Event ( http://bfads.net/Link/1624 ) both in-stores and
online! The in-store sale starts at 8am, but the online sale has the
possibility to start earlier (current online time is TBD).
Last year, Walmart had the same sale where they had multiple items
either at or below Black Friday prices. The hot item last year was the
Xbox 360 w/ $50 gift-card, which was not available on Black Friday.
This year, the hot items appear to be the Sony PlayStation 3 Console
w/ Move Bundle and $50 Gift Certificate for $399
( http://bfads.net/Link/1620 ) and a Vizio 26" 720p LED LCD HDTV for
$198 ( http://bfads.net/Link/1608 ). Full sales information is available
in our news post here:
http://bfads.net/Walmarts-Saturday-Electronics-Sale
We will continue to update the post throughout the week as we learn
more about the sale and products included.
We're only three days into November and retailers are already kicking
off their full-forced sales drives leading up to Black Friday. We've
summarized four going on right now below:
- Walmart's Amazing Online Specials featuring a
32" 720p LCD for $299 here:
http://bfads.net/Link/1598
- Target has started their Great Holiday Toy Sale here:
http://bfads.net/Link/1602
- Amazon is continuing to run their Get Three Games for the Price of
Two on over 800 video-games sale here:
http://bfads.net/Link/1592
- NewEgg has started their Black November sale, which goes on all
month, here:
http://bfads.net/Link/1600
Many of the items included in the Target Toy Catalog
( http://bfads.net/Target-Toy-Book-2010 ) require in-ad coupons to get
the final sale price (coupons begin in the advertisement on page 13 in
the PDF here: http://bfads.net/Adscans ). These coupons can be used
both in-store and online (the online coupon code is on the back of the
coupon).
Full information on all of the above sales is available in our news
post here: http://bfads.net/The-November-Sales-Begin
Everyone should remember that these sales are not necessarily "Black
Friday" caliber, but feature a greater variety of items on sale than
will be available on Black Friday. We'll be covering all of these
sales and more throughout the week, so be sure to stay tuned!
Ending the email on a light note, yesterday we received a letter via
registered mail from Home Depot. We thought it'd be a letter of them
expressing their love for BFAds, how useful they find our site and how
much they appreciate us for promoting their sales. So imagine our
surprise when it turned out to be a hastily sent, preemptive cease and
desist letter ( http://bfads.net/Link/1626 ) that was addressed
to a competitor's site!
To return the favor, we sent a letter (read it here:
http://bfads.net/Link/1628 ) back to Ms. Mueller along with a
BFAds Golden T-Shirt! That's right, the first publicized winner of our
Golden T-Shirt contest is Ms. Trish Mueller, VP of Advertising for
Home Depot!
Congratulations to her and we look forward to her picture to claim the
$100 gift-card!
Speaking of contests, we are now on the third day of our November
Give-Away Contest and today's prizes are four $50 gift-cards and 20
BFAds t-shirts. If you haven't entered the contest yet, you can do so
here: http://bfads.net/Contest
Today's give-away ends tonight, November 1st, at 11:59:59 CST. You
only need to enter the November Holiday Give-Away Contest once (for
the month) and you will be eligible for every daily give-away.
We are also on our third day of our Facebook-exclusive contest where
we are giving away another $100 gift-card. Become a Fan of BFAds on
Facebook ( http://facebook.com/BFAds ) and answer the daily
question on our wall for a chance to win!
We hope to see at least a couple Black Friday advertisements appear
this week, but in the meantime, there's plenty of other sales going on
now or in the very near future to keep us all occupied.
Thanks for Subscribing and Tell Your Friends!
Kind Regards,
Michael

Did You Know September is National Coupon Month
You've probably noticed a lot of coupons because of the Labor Day holiday weekend.
But it's also National Coupon Month a time to celebrate the coupon clipper. These days it's more than just a past-time for many people.
It's been a banner year for coupon usage.
"What's the most you've ever saved?" I asked.
"I would say I saved about $30 or more," said Dauree Coleman, of Charleston, as she shopped at the Bigley Foodland.
"Probably about $10," Joyce Caruthers, of Roane County, said.
According to a coupon industry report, the number of coupons distributed in the first half of this year rose more than 11 percent.
That's building on a record-breaking 311 billion coupons distributed last year in the U.S.
The rise in coupon use started back in 2008, when bailouts and layoffs consumed the country, frustrating many households and prompted people to look for ways to make ends meet.
The number of people using them increased nearly 8 percent from a year ago and today, coupons have become a staple of the modern family budget -- complete with a road map.
"I get the Sunday paper, take all the ads and I go to the stores that will honor the other peoples' ads. And that saves me the gas from running to four or five stores," Caruthers said.
The heart of coupons are still the Sunday paper, but the Internet is making it even easier.
Leading coupon websites report record traffic with more than a million visitors and they're spilling over onto social networking sites and smart phones.
"And I'm going to start using them even more," Caruthers said.
"It takes time, but it's worth it," Coleman said.
Worth every cent.
According to one survey, 91 percent of shoppers would walk away from the "perfect sweater" if it wasn't on sale. But that 73 percent would come back later during a sale with a store coupon.

CNN Newsroom: The Art of Couponing
The coupon section in the Sunday Paper has shrunk as the deals have shifted to cyber space. Companies are going green and realizing it's more effective to put these deals online. There is a plethora of websites, workshops and other tools popping up everywhere to educate consumers on how to stretch their dollars by using coupons. Even social media sites like Facebook have jumped on the bandwagon to offer discounts to people who friend or follow them.
Coupon clipping classes and sites are becoming the latest way to save money and keep your quality of life without breaking the budget. As fewer coupons arrive in the paper, more deals are found online. But, you have to know how to navigate the web to find the best sites for getting the biggest bang for your buck.
These classes are popping up everywhere. Costs range from free to about $25 bucks. You may be wondering, “What do they teach at a coupon class?” Well, I’m glad you asked. Most of the classes in general cover a range of topics dealing with the art of "couponing." You’ll learn how to find coupons, the art of matching coupons to store sales, a list of all the top couponing websites, and how to use them. Participants will also discuss and learn tips on effective budgeting, the envelope system and determining how to feed a family of 4, 5, or even 6 on $50 a week. Last, but not least, a topic perfect for this economy: frugal living - with topics ranging from meal planning, thrift store shopping and how to be a garage sale guru.
I’ve often heard it said if you can solves someone's problems in this economy you’ll always have a job. Well, if the problem is lack of funds, it looks like the internet has provided an answer for many people working hard to stretch a dollar.

Kellogg responds to food recall with replacement coupons
Kellogg's has responded to last week's recall by offering coupons for replacement boxes
Photo www.kelloggs.com
What's been slower to hit the news is what consumers who purchased Apple Jacks, Froot Loops, Corn Pops, or Honey Smacks could do to replace the boxes that gave off an odd smell and flavor and reportedly caused nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
An article on today's Chicago Tribune web site outlines the steps consumers can take to receive coupons for a free box (or boxes, depending on how many boxes were purchased and later recalled).
Consumers can call the Kellogg Customer Response Center at 888-801-4163 where they will hear an automated voice list each recalled product. Instructions are then given for obtaining coupons for replacement boxes.
Callers are prompted to leave their contact information and details on how many boxes were purchased.
Coupons are expected to arrive, via mail, within 7 to 10 business days.

FirstRX Savings.com
Nils A. Shapiro,
Editor-in-Chief for firstrxsavings.com
If this is your first visit to our website, it will help you to become familiar with us, and to discover how quickly and easily this site can help you to enjoy substantial savings whenever you want to have a prescription filled for a medication you need…or even when you are just looking for relief from minor, uncomfortable symptoms, such as a headache or the beginning of a cold.
FirstRxSavings.com website’s commitment to you is to offer the most comprehensive, most up-to-date money-saving opportunities available anywhere on the Internet for help in lowering your, and your family’s, health costs at any pharmacy.
Our staff has already designed this site to be very user-friendly, as you will see the very first time you use our service—right from the Home Page and continuing throughout. We want to be your most important source for hundreds of the money-saving coupons you need for the products you want--ready for you to print out from your computer and bring to your pharmacy. Our objective is clear and direct: To help you and your family know about every available opportunity to lower your health care costs at the pharmacy. In many cases, that means even entirely eliminating any co-pay that would ordinarily be required from you according to your present prescription insurance program. Not only for the first time you have a prescription filled, but often for refills, as well. Think of how much that can save you! We can also help you to save money on over-the-counter, non-prescription products, as well. And even if you do not have any prescription insurance, you can still take advantage of the savings amount shown on each coupon for that prescription medication or over-the-counter product!
As an important extra service, when you click “Join Our Mailing List" they will keep you regularly informed of additional new medication savings programs via our newsletter.
Most people now depend upon the Internet as their primary source for information. That’s why I am so pleased to have been selected to help make this new website --- FirstRxSavings.com --- the finest and most helpful of its kind for everyone who need medications, at a time when health costs have become a major concern for millions of American families.
Click here for instructions on how to use their site
We work for you, by maintaining excellent relationships with pharmaceutical companies, as well as with firms that make over-the-counter products. They, together with all physicians, realize that any medical treatment, in order to be most effective, must be strictly followed according to the physicians’ instructions. If a patient cannot afford to purchase the medication, and to continue refilling it for as long as directed by the physician, the success of that treatment --- and the patient’s health --- can be jeopardized. With that in mind, the pharmaceutical companies are committed to helping you continue your treatment. The programs that you will find on this website are sponsored by the pharmaceutical manufacturers in order to make it possible for you, and your family, to follow your physicians’ instructions to keep you and your family healthier. We look forward to having you with us as a regular visitor to this website.
You can also help other visitors to this site by telling them about your experiences with the medications you use. FirstRxSavings.com is an inter-active website. We welcome your personal comments--- about any experience you have had with the medications you use.
(e-mail me here) Your experience will help to guide others, and you will be doing them a great service. We will always remember that we work for you…so we welcome any additional suggestions you may have to help us make this the very best website of its kind in the world. Thank you.

5 Twitter Tips to Find Coupons Online
resource: savings.com
Have you hopped on Twitter yet? If not, you may be missing out on fabulous coupons and discounts. Here are my top five tips to find money-saving coupons using Twitter:
1) Follow Your Favorite Stores. Where do you like to shop? Make a quick list of your favorites, then head to Google. Type the name of the store and then the word "Twitter." For example, I just typed in "Banana Republic" and "Twitter" into the search box. So now I'm following @BananaRepublic. The very first tweet was a 40% off coupon code good on all jewelry!
2) Build Twitter Lists. Create separate lists within your Twitter account so you can see on one screen tweets from all your favorite stores. This way you'll be among the first to find out about coupons and special deals.
3) Seek Out Popular Deal Tweets. Stop by Summize.com and type in the name of your favorite retailer along with the word "coupon" to see what pops up. You can also check out CheapTweet or TweetMeSavings for the most popular deal tweets in various categories.
4) Use Twitter Bots to Save Money. Give TinyMassive or CouponBot a whirl. With TinyMassive, send a tweet to @TinyMassive with the name of the product you want to buy. The bot will send back to you the lowest price found along with a link to product search results. Sending a tweet to @CouponBot with the name of a store will net you links to coupons to use at that retailer.
5) Track Hashtags. Follow hashtags like #coupon, #coupons, #bargains, #freebie and #freebies to find great deals. Just enter the hashtags in the search box on your Twitter page to see the most recent tweets.

Use Bed. Bath and Beyond Coupons at Babies R Us
Did you know hat you can take those super-awesome Bed, Bath, and Beyond 20% off one item coupons and use them at Babies "R" Us? Blogger John of Baby At Play heard about this coupon swap, and investigated the situation on behalf of all parents and doting friends and relatives. Turns out it can be done...but not all stores participate.

Ever wonder which stores accept competitor’s coupons? I’ve been curious about this lately and have contacted a few stores asking what their policy is on this. I’ll keep you posted as I find out!
One of the first stores I contacted was Bed Bath and Beyond. Here’s their policy on accepting competitor’s coupons:
Our stores will be happy to accept competitor coupons. However, due to manufacturer and retailer restrictions, the following will apply:
Have you tried to use a Bed, Bath and Beyond coupon at Babies "R" Us? Let us know if you were successful.“A friend of mine witnessed this recently at a BRU store in New Jersey. According to the cashier, BRU (wisely) doesn’t publicize the fact that they take competitor coupons. So how are these 2 stores related? They’re not. However, Bed Bath and Beyond owns/partners with Buy Buy Baby. In fact, I just checked the Buy Buy Baby corporate page and confirmed the 2 are related. Wow! I wish I knew this when I had to buy all my baby gear. My daughter is now 2.5 and we’ve already spent a fortune at Babies R Us. ...
Response back from R Us:
Thank you for contacting Babies”R”Us.
We appreciate your reaching out to us regarding your concerns relating to the use of Bed Bath and Beyond coupons at your local Babies”R”Us store. At this time it is not all stores that take these coupons, you would have to contact your local store for full details on the coupon policy.
Sincerely,

We've made it our mission to provide the best markdowns and discounts on prescription drugs on the web. Every coupon you find is free, good at every pharmacy in the US, and will save you money directly at the point of purchase - no rebate forms, UPCs, or paperwork required!Frequently Asked Questions
And their answers
Below are answers to common questions that they get.How does this work? Where do these coupons come from?
Short answer: The manufacturers provide the discounts. Long answer: pharmaceutical companies want your business badly enough that they'll offer discounts on almost any drug they make. We've made a deal with a large supplier of prescription drugs that allows us to offer those discounts to you in the form of coupons. How do I use the coupons?
Click, print, bring, and save. Just find the coupon you want, print it from your computer, bring it to your pharmacy, and present it when you pay for your prescription to save money on the spot. What type of discounts can I expect?
Discounts vary and can range anywhere from 0%-75% depending on the type of prescription, whether or not the drug is generic, and the location of the specific pharmacy. The average discount is 28%.Will the coupons work at my pharmacy?
Yes. Every pharmacy can accept these coupons. If the pharmacist you talk to isn't familiar with prescription drug coupons, ask to speak to a manager. Every coupon is printed with a customer service number that you can call should you run into any difficulties.Do I need to register or pay for this service?
No. As mentioned above, the pharmaceutical companies are getting your business when you use these discounts. Because they're willing to make that trade-off, they don't charge or ask for any kind of information. The only cost of these coupons to you - literally - is the ink and paper you'll use to print them. What happens when I use my coupon?
Just bring your card or coupon to your favorite pharmacy. Present your card or coupon to your pharmacist. Your pharmacy will input your information into the computer where your permanent records are kept. Once the information has been stored by your pharmacy you no longer need the card or coupon because your records are in the computer. Each time you return to the pharmacy you will get the plan's appropriate discount. Store your card or coupon in a safe place.Important Note
Notice to Medicare users: although this coupon can be used as a Medicare Part D supplement by covering drugs once participants reach the "donut hole," drugs purchased with the card will not count toward your Medicare deductible.
