Using online coupons may be great for discount travel, but it does have a downside. Counterfeiting costs retailers millions a year in fraud. Some retailers are limiting the number of coupons they accept a day, while others even refuse to accept them. Usually a retailer will only accept coupons for the merchandise they sell and at the time of purchase. All coupons must have a valid bar code. Once authenticated the coupon is accepted.
